NHS Walk-in Centres

These centres offer fast & convenient access to local NHS advice, information & treatment.

You do not need to make an appointment & they are open 7 days a week

The opening hours for the centre are longer than the surgery: 7am until 10pm Monday to Friday, 9am until 10pm Saturday & Sunday

They do not replace your local GP or hospital services but complement existing services. They can offer a consultation with a nurse, & advice or treatment for minor injuries & illnesses such as:

Earache/wax

Coughs & colds

Sprains & strains

Constipation

Mild diarrhoea & vomiting

Hay fever

Warts & verrucae

Minor eye complaints

Flu-like symptoms

Headaches

Insect bites

Herpes

Oral/vaginal thrush

Cystitis & urinary tract (water) infections

By using this service when you have these types of problems, you will again be helping to free up valuable doctor time to deal with more complicated and serious cases.
